THE BRIEF
The project called for distinct spaces for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the garden, with a practical connection between the different levels. A generous patio near the house and a covered seating area at the rear would provide two destinations, linked by broad steps and an artificial lawn.
THE DESIGN
Sleeper walls and planted borders turn the level change into a feature, framing broad central steps. The upper lawn keeps the middle of the garden open, drawing the eye towards the covered pergola. Natural timber contrasts with the dark paving, while integrated lighting traces the steps, planters and rear deck.
THE BUILD
We constructed sleeper retaining walls, integrated planters and steps to connect the lower patio with the upper garden. A composite deck supports the bespoke timber pergola, complete with a solid roof and slatted sides. New fencing, artificial turf and lighting finish the space, with decorative stone dressing the planted borders.
THE REVIEW
"I reached out to Proterior purely after seeing them come up on my feed and viewing their page.
After contacting Shane he attended my property within a few days of reaching out and was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge is second to none, he's very approachable, warm and accommodating and the same can be said for his team. From initial design right through to delivery the were fantastic. Shane helped us achieve our goal within our budget constraints by offering sound advice on alternate products and solutions. The execution and workmanship of the job was a dream and they worked extremely tidily given the challenging conditions.would absolutely use again 10x over. top work chaps!"
