SPACE TO UNWIND
STOURBRIDGE

A bespoke timber pergola creates an inviting place to relax in this Stourbridge garden. Raised composite decking overlooks the lawn, while slatted screening and a white gravel pathway bring structure to a space softened by surrounding trees and colourful planting.

THE BRIEF

The brief centred on creating a dedicated place to unwind, with a generous deck and bespoke pergola at the end of the garden. Improved screening would add privacy, while new lawn and defined pathways would connect the space. The layout also needed to accommodate an existing large tree stump.

THE DESIGN

The pergola forms the garden’s focal point, with slatted panels overhead and behind the seating area filtering sunlight and views. Matching boundary screening connects it visually to the wider garden. A straight gravel path leads towards the deck, with open lawn keeping the layout spacious and simple.

THE BUILD

We constructed a raised timber frame over the existing stump and finished the deck and steps with Stone Grey composite boards. The bespoke pergola and boundary screening were built in treated timber. Timber edging defines the white limestone gravel paths, with fresh topsoil and natural turf completing our landscaping work.

THE REVIEW

5 star review

"It has been an absolute please to have Shane and the Proterior team revamp my garden. From the initial design right through the build process the team were professional and did a great job.

We made some changes as the build progressed due to some unforeseen elements, but I was fully consulted throughout to discuss and agree the changes and I couldnt be happier with the final result.

I cant wait for the warmer weather to enjoy my new garden!

You wont be disapointed when you choose Proterior to undertake your garden project."
