THE BRIEF
The brief brought together a pergola seating area, porcelain paving, raised planters and a new lawn. Bespoke screening would conceal the shed, while outdoor lighting would give the garden a welcoming atmosphere after dark.
THE DESIGN
A patterned porcelain inset defines the seating area beneath the aluminium pergola, creating the effect of an outdoor rug. Neutral paving, Corten steel planters and lawn balance the bold pattern, while black slatted screening complements the pergola. Spike lights and up/down fittings add warmth and highlight the garden’s textures.
THE BUILD
We installed the porcelain paving and aluminium pergola, positioned the Corten steel planters and constructed the bespoke black timber screening. Channel drainage and gravel margins around the planters help manage surface water and reduce rust staining on the paving. New turf and outdoor lighting completed the scheme.
