THE BRIEF
The brief focused on making the garden’s different levels more usable, with a raised deck outside the patio doors and a separate lower area planned for a fire pit. Sleeper walls and steps would connect the spaces, while lawn, planting beds and screening would soften the layout.

THE DESIGN
The deck creates an elevated space overlooking the garden, with sleeper planters framing the transitions between levels. Slatted screening gives the lower gravel area a more private feel. A blade water feature forms a focal point opposite the deck, while lighting highlights the steps, timber and boundaries.

THE BUILD
We excavated to establish the levels and constructed sleeper retaining walls, raised beds and connecting steps. Stone Grey composite decking was installed on a treated timber frame, with turf and decorative gravel finishing the lower areas. Slatted screening, a blade water feature and outdoor lighting completed the scheme.
